The webCRM story begins…

… back in 2002. Under the then company TeamLink, the current directors of webCRM Jørgen Rode and Erik Maltby  were looking for a CRM system to manage and grow the sales of the business. After thoroughly investigating the market, the two TeamLink colleagues found that all the potential CRM systems were too complex to use and set up.

It was therefore decided to internally develop a simple CRM system for inhouse use. They wanted CRM back to basics – a good, uncomplicated CRM system tailored to fit their specific needs. Some friends and former colleagues saw their new CRM system and were pleased with what they saw. They were impressed with such a simple and easy-to-use CRM system. As a result Jørgen and Erik decided to market their system under the name b2bCRM.

 

 

 

After a few years…

… in 2005 b2bCRM changed it’s name to the more appealing webCRM as the business started to grow internationally. Soon webCRM became established as one of the preferred providers of CRM systems across medium to small sized businesses – firstly in Denmark – then increasingly around the world.

As webCRM was a system fundamentally designed and ready-made to work online in the young cloud market, it has always been innovative. Back then, it was a major breakthrough that companies could deploy a simple to use and cost effective CRM system without all the problems associated with installed systems on their own servers.
